All news- Elections Commission Announces Timetable for First General Election
The first general election to the Network Assembly will be held on Thursday 3 December 2026. The notice of election will be published on 16 October, nominations close on 30 October and registration closes on 13 November.
- Elections Commission Publishes Provisional Electoral Register
The provisional electoral register records 37,095 electors across the twelve constituencies of the Network. It is open for inspection from Monday 7 September 2026, and electors have until 13 November to register or correct their entry for the first general election.
- Elections Commission Confirms Twelve Constituencies for the Network Assembly
Twelve constituencies, each returning one member of the Network Assembly, have been confirmed for the first general election. Three lie outside the permitted range of electorate and will be the first considered in the boundary review that follows the election.
About the Commission
The Elections Commission of the Velocity Interoperability Network is the independent authority responsible for the conduct of elections to the Network Assembly.
It maintains the electoral register, determines the constituencies from which members are returned, administers nominations and polling, declares and publishes results, and reports on the register and on every election it conducts.
